Ashippun Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District
is here to promote the public health, comfort, convenience, necessity and public welfare of the lake. We focus on preserving and protecting the lake by preventing invasive species, preserving the sensitive shoreline, fostering a healthy fish population and instituting policies and practices by examining lake studies and our management plan. This hopefully provides a great location for leisure and recreational purposes.

Many residents of Oconomowoc are often surprised to find out about this lake, especially seeing it is only 3 miles north of the city. Ashippun Lake is a 94 acre, spring fed lake located in the Village of Lac La Belle. There is a Waukesha County Park with a landing, farmland and around 30 homesites on the lake.
